What
is a Dynamometer or "Dyno"?
Shown is
my own Dynamometer trailer that I used while developing my
own dyno systems and software.
At its simplest,
its a means of measuring an engines power in Horsepower or Kilowatts.
Slightly more
complex ones like this one (mine!) can give you a print out of your bike
or cars BHP versus RPM and Torque versus RPM. It does
this by running the back wheel (in the case of a bike) on
that steel drum, at full power.
